The ovens go on before the sun does, so by seven the counter is full: long-fermented sourdough, butter croissants, good espresso, and the maple-glazed cinnamon roll people plan their Saturdays around.

The one everyone asks about
It starts the afternoon before as a soft, buttery dough that rests overnight in the cooler. Around four in the morning we roll it out, spread it with brown butter, cinnamon and dark brown sugar, and coil each one by hand.
Straight out of the oven it gets a glaze of real maple syrup whisked with a little cream cheese and a pinch of flaky salt. Sticky fingers are part of the deal.
Pre-order for pickup
Order by 2:00 pm and we’ll have it boxed with your name on it any day after. Planning something bigger than four dozen? See celebrations below.
Order noted
This is a concept website. Maple Bakery is a made-up business, so no order was actually sent and nothing was charged. On a real site, this is where the bakery would get your order and you would get a confirmation by text or email.

Tell us the date, how many people and what they love. We’ll come back within a day with ideas and a price.
Six or eight inch, two or three layers. Vanilla bean, chocolate stout, or our brown butter maple with salted cream cheese frosting.
A dozen mixed pastries, boxed and tied. Pick a mix or let us choose what’s best that morning. Nice for a thank-you on someone’s doorstep.
Sliced loaves, cultured butter, jam and mini croissants for a crowd. Add a carafe of coffee for meetings or a morning shower.
Have a date in mind?Email or call and we’ll sketch it out together. Spring weekends book up, so earlier is kinder.
Our promise
Maple Bakery is run by the people who bake in it. We keep the menu short so every loaf and every pastry gets the time it needs, and we’d rather sell out by two than fill the case with things made yesterday.
See you at the counter.
No frozen dough, no mixes. If it’s on the counter, it was made in this kitchen.
Flour, butter, eggs, salt, real maple. Ask and we’ll tell you exactly what’s in anything.
Day-old loaves are half price at the counter. What’s left after that goes to a neighborhood food pantry.
Stay as long as you like. The window table is first come, first served, and worth getting up for too.

Order by 2:00 pm for pickup any day after that, up to three weeks out. Need something today? Give us a call and we’ll tell you what’s still on the counter and set it aside.
You pay when you pick up, by card or cash. Nothing is charged when you place a pre-order. For custom cakes we ask for a small deposit once we’ve agreed on the details.
Of course. Call or email by 2:00 pm the day before pickup and we’ll update it. After that the dough is already resting, but we’ll still do our best.
Our country sourdough, baguette and focaccia are vegan. We bake with wheat flour all day in one small kitchen, so we can’t safely offer anything gluten-free, and we’d rather be honest about that.
Almonds and walnuts are used in our kitchen, so traces may be in anything we make. Ask at the counter and we’ll walk you through each item.
Yes, there’s free Wi-Fi and a few outlets along the wall. On busy Saturday mornings we just ask that you share a table if someone’s looking for a seat.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the bench out front, and there’s always a water bowl by the door. Service animals are welcome inside.
